Norfolk [E., 1682] on 17 November 1921.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery (TA.)2 He was Aide-de-Camp to GOC Eastern Command between 1936 and 1939.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.2 He was PA to CIGS between 1939 and 1940.2 He was chairman of Raynham Farm Company Ltd in 1957.2 He was chairman of Anglia TV between 1958 and 1986.2 He was director of London Merchant Securities plc between 1964 and 1995.2 He was chairman of Anglia Television Group plc between 1971 and 1986.2 He was vice-chairman of Norwich Union Life Insurance Society between 1973 and 1986.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)2
