     Lady Elizabeth Mary Gladys Townshend was born on 16 October 1917.¹ She was the daughter of John James Dudley Stuart Townshend, 6th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Gwladys Ethel Gwendolen Eugenie Sutherst.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Eric Richard Meadows White, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Eaton White, 1st Bt. and Rose Dorothy Pearce-Serocold, on 20 October 1939.¹ She and Sir Eric Richard Meadows White, 2nd Bt. were divorced in 1947.¹ She married, secondly, John Clifford Roberts, son of John Joseph Roberts, on 15 March 1949.¹ She died on 31 December 1950 at age 33.²

     Sir Eric Richard Meadows White, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 June 1910.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Eaton White, 1st Bt. and Rose Dorothy Pearce-Serocold.² He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Mary Gladys Townshend, daughter of John James Dudley Stuart Townshend, 6th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Gwladys Ethel Gwendolen Eugenie Sutherst, on 20 October 1939.² He and Lady Elizabeth Mary Gladys Townshend were divorced in 1947.² He married, secondly, Ann Heron Eccles, daughter of Alexander Gerald Eccles, on 11 September 1947.¹ He died on 26 April 1972 at age 61.¹
     Sir Eric Richard Meadows White, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Richard.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1938 and 1941 in the Royal Suffolk Hussars.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet White, of Boulge Hall, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1937] on 5 August 1940.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1943 and 1946 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Zoological Society (F.Z.S.)¹

     John Clifford Roberts is the son of John Joseph Roberts.¹ He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Mary Gladys Townshend, daughter of John James Dudley Stuart Townshend, 6th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Gwladys Ethel Gwendolen Eugenie Sutherst, on 15 March 1949.¹
