     Rear-Admiral Sir Thomas Herbert was born in 1793.¹ He was the son of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹ He died, unmarried.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kerry in 1829.¹ He was commander of the Naval Forces on South-East coast of USA.¹ He fought in the China War.¹ He held the office of Lord of the Admiralty between February 1852 and December 1852.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dartmouth.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Kerry.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Hon. Martha Cuffe was the daughter of John Cuffe, 1st Baron Desart.¹ She married Reverend Nicholas Herbert, son of Edward Herbert and Hon. Frances Browne, on 8 April 1766.² She died in 1808.¹
     From 8 April 1766, her married name became Herbert.²

     Reverend Nicholas Herbert was the son of Edward Herbert and Hon. Frances Browne.^1,2 He married Hon. Martha Cuffe, daughter of John Cuffe, 1st Baron Desart, on 8 April 1766.¹ He died on 4 May 1803.¹
     He was educated in 1749 at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was Rector at Knockgraffon, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹ He was Rector at Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Reverend Richard Herbert was the son of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹ He died, unmarried.¹

     Charles Assheton Craven-Smith-Milnes was baptised on 30 September 1968 at London, England.¹ He is the son of Richard Assheton Craven-Smith-Milnes and Jane Alexandra Abbott.¹

     Alexander John Drace-Francis was born on 5 February 1971.¹ He is the son of Charles David Stephen Drace-Francis and Hon. Griselda Hyacinthe Waldegrave.¹

     General Charles Herbert was the son of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹ He died, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of General in the Indian Army.¹ He fought in the Indian Mutiny.¹

     Elizabeth Herbert is the daughter of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹ She married Admiral Samuel Butcher.¹
     Her married name became Butcher.¹

     Admiral Samuel Butcher married Elizabeth Herbert, daughter of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹
     He had four sons.¹

     Helen Herbert is the daughter of Richard Townsend Herbert and Jane Stoughton.¹ She married Reverend Barry Denny, son of Reverend Maynard Denny and Penelope Stoughton.¹
     Her married name became Denny.¹
