     Henry Philip Powys was born on 24 November 1791 at Culham, Berkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Philip Lybbe Powys and Louisa Michell.3 He married Julia Barrington, daughter of Sir FitzWilliam Barrington, 10th Bt. and Edith Mary Marshall, on 6 June 1817 at Calbourne, Isle of Wight, England.1,2 He died on 1 April 1859 at age 67 at Hardwick, Oxfordshire, England.1
     He lived at Hardwick House, Whitchurch, Oxfordshire, England.1
