     Lt.-Col. Samuel Howe Showers was born in 1745.¹ He married Melian Butler, daughter of Peregrine Butler and Elizabeth Greene, on 13 November 1779 at Calcutta, India.¹ He died in 1827.¹

     Edward Simeon was born in 1788.¹ He was the son of Sir John Simeon, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Cornwall.² He married, firstly, Sophia Charlotte Powys, daughter of Philip Lybbe Powys and Louisa Michell, in September 1814.¹ He married, secondly, Eliza Wykeham-Martin, daughter of Fiennes Wykeham-Martin and Elizabeth Bignell, on 22 September 1836.¹ He died on 16 October 1851, without issue.¹
     He lived at Carshalton House, Surrey, England.¹

     Philip Lybbe Powys was born on 22 April 1765 at Hardwick, Oxfordshire, England.² He was the son of Philip Lybbe Powys and Caroline Girle.² He married Louisa Michell on 18 February 1790 at St. George’s Church, Hanover Square, London, England.² He died on 11 March 1838 at age 72 at Hardwick House, Whitchurch on Thames, Oxfordshire, England.²
     He lived at Hardwick House, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Sophia Charlotte Powys was born in 1796.² She was the daughter of Philip Lybbe Powys and Louisa Michell.^3,2 She married Edward Simeon, son of Sir John Simeon, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Cornwall, in September 1814.¹ She died in 1833.²
     From September 1814, her married name became Simeon.
