He was given the name of Oswald Pryor Yerburgh at birth. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar at Tewkesbury Abbey, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 On 21 January 1889 his name was legally changed to Oswald Pryor Wardell-Yerburgh by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Rural Dean of Winchcombe.1 He held the office of Hon. Canon of Gloucestershire.1 He was Proctor in Convocation in 1908.1
