     Andrew Usher was born on 7 April 1782.¹ He was the son of James Usher and Margaret Greive.² He married Margaret Balmer, daughter of Thomas Balmer, on 31 December 1806.¹ He died on 17 August 1855 at age 73.¹
     In 1813 founder of Andrew Usher & Company, whisky merchants.¹ He lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He also had eight daughters.¹

     Thomas Balmer lived at Ettrickbrae, Roxburghshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Balmer was the daughter of Thomas Balmer.² She married Andrew Usher, son of James Usher and Margaret Greive, on 31 December 1806.¹ She died on 24 February 1860.¹
     From 31 December 1806, her married name became Usher.

     James Usher was born on 21 March 1811.¹ He was the son of Andrew Usher and Margaret Balmer.² He died on 24 May 1862 at age 51.¹

     Thomas Usher was born on 27 October 1821.¹ He was the son of Andrew Usher and Margaret Balmer.² He married Elizabeth Caroline Henderson, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Henderson and Eliza Millard.¹ He died on 30 June 1896 at age 74.¹

     Elizabeth Caroline Henderson was born on 13 May 1830 at Bombay, India.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. William Henderson and Eliza Millard.² She married Thomas Usher, son of Andrew Usher and Margaret Balmer.¹ She died on 5 November 1880 at age 50 at 18 Lauder Road, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.²
     Her married name became Usher.

     Harry Lawrence Usher was born on 11 November 1866 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He was the son of Thomas Usher and Elizabeth Caroline Henderson.³
     He lived at Summerfield, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.¹

     Alice Margaret Usher was the daughter of Harry Lawrence Usher.² She married Lieutenant Ronald James Usher, son of Sir Robert Usher, 2nd Bt. and Katherine Scott Turnbull, on 28 April 1917.² She died in 1975.¹
