     Hazel Jean Usher was born on 3 July 1918.² She was the daughter of Lieutenant Ronald James Usher and Alice Margaret Usher.^3,4 She married James Anthony Stodart, Baron Stodart of Leaston, son of Colonel Thomas Stodart and Mary Alice Coullie, on 9 September 1940.² She died on 18 March 1995 at age 76, without issue.²
     From 9 September 1940, her married name became Stodart.¹ She was appointed Serving Sister, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (S.S.St.J.) in 1977.²

     From 24 November 1909, her married name became Chippindale.¹ In 1950 she was granted the rank of a baron’s daughter.¹
