     Mary Anne Webb was born circa 1818 at Rickling, Essex, England.² She was the daughter of William Webb.¹ She married Captain Henry Byng, son of Vice-Admiral Hon. Henry Dilkes Byng and Maria Jane Clerke, on 10 June 1839 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 She died on 25 November 1852.¹
     From 10 June 1839, her married name became Byng.

     Lt.-Col. Alfred Molyneux Cranmer-Byng was born on 19 March 1840.¹ He was the son of Captain Henry Byng and Mary Anne Webb.² He married, firstly, Caroline Mary Tufnell, daughter of Rt. Hon. Henry Tufnell and Hon. Frances Byng, on 20 June 1870.¹ He married, secondly, Emma Evangeline Ker Baillie-Hamilton, daughter of Ker Baillie-Hamilton and Emma Blair, on 14 February 1888.¹ He died on 20 May 1906 at age 66.¹
     He was given the name of Alfred Molyneux Byng at birth.¹ On 1 February 1882 his name was legally changed to Alfred Molyneux Cranmer-Byng by Royal Licence.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He lived at Quendon Hall, Essex, England.¹

     Rt. Hon. Henry Tufnell married Hon. Frances Byng, daughter of Field Marshal John Byng, 1st Earl of Strafford and Marianne James, on 24 September 1844.²
     He lived at Tufnell Park, London, England.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹

     Caroline Mary Tufnell was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Henry Tufnell and Hon. Frances Byng.² She married Lt.-Col. Alfred Molyneux Cranmer-Byng, son of Captain Henry Byng and Mary Anne Webb, on 20 June 1870.¹ She died on 31 January 1887.¹
     From 20 June 1870, her married name became Byng. Her long name was Cranmer-Byng.

     Launcelot Alfred Cranmer Cranmer-Byng was born on 23 November 1872.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alfred Molyneux Cranmer-Byng and Caroline Mary Tufnell.² He married Harriet Hammersley, daughter of Isaac Hammersley, on 4 March 1894.¹ He married Daisy Elaine Beach, daughter of N. B. Beach, on 30 March 1916.¹ He died on 15 January 1945 at age 72.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Territorial Forces Reserve.¹ He was Commandant of a POW Camp in 1917.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)¹ He lived at Folly Mill, Thaxted, Essex, England.¹

     Harriet Hammersley was the daughter of Isaac Hammersley.² She married Launcelot Alfred Cranmer Cranmer-Byng, son of Lt.-Col. Alfred Molyneux Cranmer-Byng and Caroline Mary Tufnell, on 4 March 1894.¹ She died on 13 April 1913.¹
     From 4 March 1894, her married name became Cranmer-Byng.

     John Launcelot Cranmer-Byng was born on 18 March 1919.¹ He was the son of Launcelot Alfred Cranmer Cranmer-Byng and Daisy Elaine Beach.² He married Margaret Ellen Hardy, daughter of R. H. Hardy, on 19 January 1955.¹ He died on 6 April 1999 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.¹ He did his National Service as a Major in the Airborne Forces.¹ He graduated from King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1944 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.¹ He was a history lecturer at Hong Kong University, Hong Kong^G.¹ He was Professor of History at Toronto University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹

     R. H. Hardy lived at Sevenoaks, Kent, England.¹

     Margaret Ellen Hardy is the daughter of R. H. Hardy.² She married John Launcelot Cranmer-Byng, son of Launcelot Alfred Cranmer Cranmer-Byng and Daisy Elaine Beach, on 19 January 1955.¹
     From 19 March 1955, her married name became Cranmer-Byng. She lived in 2003 at Apt 508, 2177 Burnhamthorpe Road, West Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.¹
