     Thomas Ruston Kennedy married Jane Judith Ellicot, daughter of Andrew Ellicot and Sarah Browne.¹ He died on 24 March 1813.¹

     James Hope was Clerk of the Signet.¹

     Helen Hope was the daughter of James Hope.² She married Rev. Hon. John Sandilands, son of James Sandilands, 10th Lord Torphichen and Margaret Douglas Stirling, on 24 July 1845.¹ She died on 29 January 1887.¹
     From 24 July 1845, her married name became Sandilands.

     James Walter Sandilands, 12th Lord Torphichen was born on 4 May 1846.¹ He is the son of Rev. Hon. John Sandilands and Helen Hope.² He married Ellen Frances Gordon, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Charles Edward Parke Gordon, on 25 May 1881.¹ He and Ellen Frances Gordon were divorced in 1890.¹ He died on 20 July 1915 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Lord Torphichen, of Saint John of Torphichen, West Lothian [S., 1564] on 24 December 1869.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1877 in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1894 and January 1910.¹ He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between December 1910 and 1915.¹

     Hon. John Hope Sandilands was born on 24 July 1847.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. John Sandilands and Helen Hope.² He married Helen Mary Anne Tourle, daughter of Thomas Tourle, on 1 August 1877.¹ He died on 2 May 1903 at age 55.¹
     On 7 June 1870 he was granted the rank of a Lord of Parliament’s younger son.¹

     Thomas Tourle lived at Waratah, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Helen Mary Anne Tourle was the daughter of Thomas Tourle.² She married Hon. John Hope Sandilands, son of Rev. Hon. John Sandilands and Helen Hope, on 1 August 1877.¹ She died on 27 February 1909.¹
     From 1 August 1877, her married name became Sandilands.

     James Bruce Sandilands was born on 9 April 1883.¹ He was the son of Hon. John Hope Sandilands and Helen Mary Anne Tourle.² He married Aline Taylor, daughter of F. G. Taylor, on 26 February 1909.¹ He died on 5 August 1951 at age 68.¹

     F. G. Taylor lived at Uralla, New South Wales, Australia.¹
