Walter Alexander Sandilands was born on 26 April 1888.¹ He was the son of James Walter Sandilands, 12th Lord Torphichen and Ellen Frances Gordon.² He married Nancy Margaret Powell, daughter of Hubert Powell, on 25 June 1918.¹ He and Nancy Margaret Powell were divorced in 1930.¹ He died on 9 February 1966 at age 77.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery.¹

     Bruce Walter Sandilands was born on 14 July 1921.¹ He was the son of Hon. Walter Alexander Sandilands and Nancy Margaret Powell.² He died on 20 February 1976 at age 54, his death was announced after he had been lost in Sabah Jungle for two months.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal MArines.¹ He was surveyor for the Malayan Civil Service in 1955.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1970.¹

     Douglas Robert Alexander Sandilands, Master of Torphichen was born on 31 August 1926.¹ He was the son of Hon. Walter Alexander Sandilands and Nancy Margaret Powell.² He married Suzette Vera Pernet.¹ He married Tallulah Burckitt in 1949.¹ He died on 4 November 2002 at age 76.¹
     He gained the rank of officer between 1945 and 1948 in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was a driving instructor.¹

     Tallulah Burckitt married Douglas Robert Alexander Sandilands, Master of Torphichen, son of Hon. Walter Alexander Sandilands and Nancy Margaret Powell, in 1949.¹
     From 1949, her married name became Sandilands.

     Robert Powell Sandilands, Master of Torphichen was born in 1950.¹ He is the son of Douglas Robert Alexander Sandilands, Master of Torphichen and Tallulah Burckitt.² He married Cheryl Lynn Watson in 1974.¹
     He was styled as Master of Torphichen in 2002.¹ He lived in 2003 at 72 Lacote Road, Greendale, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.¹

     Cheryl Lynn Watson married Robert Powell Sandilands, Master of Torphichen, son of Douglas Robert Alexander Sandilands, Master of Torphichen and Tallulah Burckitt, in 1974.¹
     She lived at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.¹ From 1974, her married name became Sandilands.
