     John Stirling of Tillechewn was born circa 1751 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of William Stirling of Drumpelier and Mary Buchanan.³ He married Janet Bogle, daughter of George Bogle of Daldowie and Isabella Luke, in July 1774 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He died in 1811.¹
     He lived at Tilliechewn, Scotland.¹

     James Stirling was born in 1760.¹ He was the son of William Stirling of Drumpelier and Mary Buchanan.² He died in 1822.¹
     He lived at Stair, Scotland.¹

     Thomas Davenport lived at Henbury, Cheshire, England.¹

     Thomas Hamilton was born in 1728.² He is the son of William Hamilton of Airdrie and Margaret Bogle.^2,1 He married Isabel Anderson, daughter of Dr. William Anderson.² He died in 1781.²

     William Hamilton was born circa 1760.² He was the son of Thomas Hamilton and Isabel Anderson.² He married Elizabeth Stirling, daughter of William Stirling of Drumpelier and Mary Buchanan.² He died in 1793.²
     He was a surgeon.² He graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was Professor of Anatomy in 1781 at University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Captain Sir Walter Stirling of Faskine was born on 18 May 1718.¹ He is the son of Walter Stirling of Shirva and Janet Ruthven.² He married Dorothy Willing, daughter of Charles Willing and Anne Shippen, on 30 October 1758.¹ He died on 24 November 1786 at age 68.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief and Commodore of the Nore.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1781.¹ He was intended for a baronetcy but died before it could be conferred.¹ He lived at Faskine, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     John Stirling was born on 20 October 1786.² He was the son of Andrew Stirling of Drumpellier and Anne Dorothea Stirling.² He married Elizabeth Willing, daughter of Thomas Mayne Willing.² He died in 1853.²

     Charles Stirling, 1st of Muiravonside was born on 30 September 1789.¹ He was the son of Andrew Stirling of Drumpellier and Anne Dorothea Stirling.² He married Charlotte Dorothea Stirling, daughter of Vice-Admiral Charles Stirling and Charlotte Grote, on 1 May 1827.¹ He died on 26 August 1867 at age 77.¹
     He lived at Muiravonside, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹

     Vice-Admiral Charles Stirling was born on 28 April 1769.¹ He was the son of Captain Sir Walter Stirling of Faskine and Dorothy Willing.² He married Charlotte Grote, daughter of Andrew Grote and Mary Anne Culverden, in August 1789.¹ He died in November 1833 at age 64.¹
     He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the White.¹

     Andrew Stirling, 2nd of Muiravonside was born on 28 May 1829.¹ He was the son of Charles Stirling, 1st of Muiravonside and Charlotte Dorothea Stirling.² He married Georgina Louisa Blackwood, daughter of Captain Sir Martin Henry Blackwood, 2nd Bt. and Harriet Louisa Bulkeley, on 1 September 1864.¹
     He sold Muiravonside to Thomas Mayne Stirling, 3rd of Muiravonside.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Stirlingshire.¹
