     Janet Neilson is the daughter of William Neilson of Balgray.² She married John Stirling, son of Walter Stirling and Helen Wemyss, in 1637.¹
     From 1637, her married name became Stirling.

     John Stirling was born on 1 June 1640.¹ He was the son of John Stirling and Janet Neilson.² He married Janet Campbell, daughter of Charles Campbell of Ballochiel, in September 1668.¹ He died on 31 July 1709 at age 69.¹
     He held the office of Burgess of Glasgow.¹

     Janet Campbell was the daughter of Charles Campbell of Ballochiel.² She married John Stirling, son of John Stirling and Janet Neilson, in September 1668.¹ She died on 16 May 1691.¹
     From September 1668, her married name became Stirling.

     John Stirling was born on 8 February 1677.¹ He was the son of John Stirling and Janet Campbell.² He married Isabella Hunter, daughter of John Hunter, on 20 August 1702.¹ He died in 1736.¹
     He held the office of Provost of Glasgow.¹ He had seven other sons.¹

     William Stirling is the son of John Stirling and Janet Campbell.²

     Walter Stirling of Shirva was born on 25 June 1686.¹ He was the son of John Stirling and Janet Campbell.² He married, firstly, Janet Ruthven, daughter of William Ruthven of Torryburn.¹ He married, secondly, Euphemia Calder.¹ He died on 13 October 1732 at age 46.¹
     He lived at Shirva, Scotland.¹

     Janet Ruthven is the daughter of William Ruthven of Torryburn.² She married Walter Stirling of Shirva, son of John Stirling and Janet Campbell.¹
     Her married name became Stirling.

     Charles Willing was born on 18 May 1710 at Bristol, England.² He married Anne Shippen on 21 January 1730.² He died on 30 November 1754 at age 44 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.²
     He lived at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.¹
