     Angela d‘Acosta was born on 23 July 1888.² She was the daughter of Ricardo d‘Acosta.² She married, firstly, William Sewall.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Frederick Charleton Shaw, son of Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick William Shaw, 5th Bt. and Eleanor Hester de Vere, on 6 November 1922.¹ She died in 1978 at Hampshire, England.^1,2
     Her married name became Sewall.¹ From 6 November 1922, her married name became Shaw.

     Frederick Miguel Shaw was born on 25 May 1924.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Charleton Shaw and Angela d‘Acosta.² He died on 17 April 1951 at age 26, lost in H.M. Submarine Affray.
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant (E) in the Royal Navy.¹

     Mercedes Eile Shaw was born on 11 September 1926.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Frederick Charleton Shaw and Angela d‘Acosta.² She married Lt.-Col. Miles Matthew Lee Hudson, son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Edward Hudson, V.C. and Gladys Lee, on 19 May 1956.¹ She died on 3 March 2000 at age 73.¹
     She was in the Women’s Royal Naval Service.¹ From 19 May 1956, her married name became Hudson. She lived at The Priors Farm, Mattingley Green, Hampshire, England.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Charles Edward Hudson, V.C. was born on 29 May 1892 at Derby, Derbyshire, England.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Herbert Edward Hudson and Elizabeth Constance S. Wood.² He married Gladys Lee in 1892 at Derby, Derbyshire, England.² He died on 4 April 1959 at age 66 at St. Mary’s, Scilly Isles, England.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at Denbury Manor, Newton Abbot, Devon, England.¹ He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Jane Whitling Hope was born in 1840 at London, England.¹ She was the daughter of General Sir James Archibald Hope and Christiana Elizabeth (?)¹ She was baptised on 8 June 1841 at St. Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England.¹ She married de Courcy Pitcairn Dashwood, son of Commander John de Courcy Dashwood and Henrietta Willoughby Barrett, on 18 October 1866 at St. Luke’s Church, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹ She died in 1935.¹
