     Major Richard Patrick Murray Gordon Dill was born on 24 November 1921 at Newhaven, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Major John Martin Gordon Dill and Ethné Charlton Murray.³ He married, firstly, Mary Chichester Mills, daughter of James Paul Mills and Alice Frances du Pont, on 27 June 1959.¹ He and Mary Chichester Mills were divorced in 1967.¹ He married, secondly, Kari Penelope Sheppard, daughter of Graham Hugh Sheppard, on 21 February 1968.¹ He died on 28 September 1993 at age 71 at Idlicote, Warwickshire, England.^1,2
