     From 14 August 1868, her married name became McIlwaine.

     Captain William Frederick McIlwaine was born in 1843 at St. Leonard, Sussex, England.² He married Sophia Margaret Beauchamp St. John, daughter of Oliver St. John and Helen Young, on 14 August 1868.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Marine Light Infantry.¹

     Jane Matilda St. John is the daughter of Oliver St. John and Helen Young.² She married Colonel Charles Mitchell Smith on 12 October 1880.¹
     From 12 October 1880, her married name became Smith.

     From before 1845, her married name became Teesdale. From 18 January 1845, her married name became St. John.

     Colonel Oliver Henry Beauchamp St. John was born on 15 November 1847.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Robert St. John and Jesse Arabella Whitehill.² He married Bertha Frederica Scriven, daughter of Colonel John Scriven, on 14 October 1880.¹ He died on 16 January 1917 at age 69.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 95th Regiment.¹
