Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 3rd Bt.1 
He was also known as James.2 In 1760 he tried unsuccessfully to recover the family estates from his uncle Gilbert.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1760.2

Sir Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 4th Bt.1 
In 1715 he joined the Uprising, and was captured.1 He was Writer and Chamberlain to the Duke of Buccleuch between 1722 and 1765.1,2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1765.1
