     Ann Musgrave was born on 4 July 1675 at Washington, County Durham, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Richard Musgrave, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy James.¹ She was baptised on 1 October 1725 at Aspatria, Cumberland, England.² She married Sir William Grierson of Lag, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 29 August 1720 at Carlisle, Northumberland, England^G.^1,2 She died on 17 December 1749 at age 74 at Rockall, Collin, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.^3,4
     From 29 August 1720, her married name became Grierson.¹

     Tracy Maryella McNeilage married Neil Edmund Landale Melville, son of Major Michael Landale Melville and Susan Louise Margaret Cox, on 27 August 2010.¹
     From 27 August 2010, her married name became Melville.¹

     Arthur Arnold McIlwaine was born in 1877 at Teignmouth, Devon, England.¹ He was the son of Captain William Frederick McIlwaine and Sophia Margaret Beauchamp St. John.¹

     James Grierson was born circa 1679.² He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas.³ He married Elizabeth Ferguson.³ He was also reported to have died circa 20 March 1722.³ He died in April 1721.²
     In 1715 he was involved in the 1715 Uprising, and was imprisoned for “counterfeiting the coin and for forgeing stamps on paper.”⁴

     Elizabeth Ferguson married James Grierson, son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas.¹
     Her married name became Grierson.¹

     Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1700.¹ He was the son of James Grierson and Elizabeth Ferguson.² He died in 1765, without issue.²
     He was also known as James.² In 1760 he tried unsuccessfully to recover the family estates from his uncle Gilbert.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1760.²

     Sir Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 4th Bt. was baptised on 13 February 1698 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.² He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas.¹ He married Elizabeth Maitland, daughter of Richard Maitland and Elizabeth Bell, on 25 November 1737 at Dalkeith, Scotland^G.^1,2 He died on 7 February 1766 at age 67 at Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^1,3
     In 1715 he joined the Uprising, and was captured.¹ He was Writer and Chamberlain to the Duke of Buccleuch between 1722 and 1765.^1,2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1765.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Patrick Joseph Connolly gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Durban, Natal, South Africa^G.¹

     Elizabeth Maitland was born in 1710 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Richard Maitland and Elizabeth Bell.^1,2 She married Sir Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 4th Bt., son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 25 November 1737 at Dalkeith, Scotland^G.^1,2 She died on 8 April 1788 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.^1,3
     From 25 November 1737, her married name became Grierson.¹
