He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in 1918 in the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Engineers.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Talbot of Malahide, and Lord Malahide of Malahide, co. Dublin [I., 1831] on 2 April 1975.1
