Margaret Robertson of Struan1 
Margaret Robertson of Struan also went by the nick-name of ‘Black Lady Margaret’.1 In 1716 she was aided her brother’s second escap.1 In 1723 she was regranted her estates, her brother being excluded, with ultimate benefit to Duncan later 4th of Drumachuine.1

He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Brigade in the Dutch Service.1 He fought in the American War of Independence.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1778 in the 82nd Foot.1 He held the position of 15th Chief of the Clan Donnachaidh from in 1782.1 In 1784 Struan was restored to him.1
