     Isabel Stannus Gordon was born in 1837 at Croydon, Sussex, England.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Alexander Gordon.3 She married Charles Forbes Rivett-Carnac, son of Sir James Rivett-Carnac, 1st Bt. and Anna Maria Richardes, on 14 June 1865 at Calcutta, Bengal, India.1,2 She died on 2 January 1913 at Wood Lane, Seale, Farnham, Surrey, England.1,2
     From 14 June 1865, her married name became Rivett-Carnac.

     Colonel Seymour Gordon Rivett-Carnac was born on 24 February 1868.1 He was the son of Charles Forbes Rivett-Carnac and Isabel Stannus Gordon.2 He married, firstly, Martha Ella Maud Latch, daughter of John Latch, in 1893.1 He married, secondly, Marian Frances Rowland, daughter of H. W. Rowland, on 1 September 1925.1 He died on 22 April 1931 at age 63.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1
