     George Edward Price was born in 1842 at France.¹ He was the son of George Price and Hon. Emily Valentine Plunkett.² He married Gertrude Laurence Locke, daughter of Joseph Locke and Phoebe McCreery, on 6 February 1873.¹ He died on 29 June 1926.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devonport between 1874 and 1892.¹

     Phoebe McCreery was born circa 1807 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.² She was the daughter of John McCreery.² She married Joseph Locke, son of William Locke and Esther Teesdale, in 1834.^1,2
     She became Gertrude Laurence Locke‘s adoptive mother.¹ From 1834, her married name became Locke.¹
