     Karl Otto graf zu Solms-Laubach was born on 27 August 1633 at Laubach, Germany.¹ He was the son of Albrecht Otto II graf zu Solms-Laubach and Katharina Juliana von Hanau-Münzenburg.¹ He married Amoena Elisabeth von Bentheim-Tecklenburg on 18 July 1654.¹ He died on 6 August 1676 at age 42 at Laubach, Germany.¹

     Henry Bidewell Grigg married Elizabeth Deas-Thomson, daughter of Sir Edward Deas-Thomson and Anne Maria Bourke.¹ He died in 1894.¹
     He was in the Indian Civil Service.¹ He held the office of Political Resident of Travancore.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹

     Peter von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg was born on 1 February 1743. He was the son of Peter August Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck and Natalie Golovina. He died on 3 January 1751 at age 7.

     Catherine von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg was born on 23 February 1750. She was the daughter of Peter August Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck and Natalie Golovina. She married Ivan Sergeevich Bariatinsky, Prince Bariatinsky on 9 January 1767. She died on 10 December 1811 at age 61.

     Ivan Sergeevich Bariatinsky, Prince Bariatinsky was born on 27 February 1740. He married Catherine von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg, daughter of Peter August Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck and Natalie Golovina, on 9 January 1767. He died on 24 December 1811 at age 71.
     He was also known as Prince Ivan Bariatinsky. He held the office of Russian Ambassador to France.²

     Elizabeth Deas-Thomson was the daughter of Sir Edward Deas-Thomson and Anne Maria Bourke.¹ She married Henry Bidewell Grigg.¹ She died in January 1920.¹
     Her married name became Grigg.¹

     Sir Edward Deas-Thomson was born on 1 June 1800 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He married Anne Maria Bourke, daughter of General Sir Richard Bourke and Elizabeth Bourke, on 18 September 1833 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.² He died on 16 July 1879 at age 79 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.²
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)³ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)³ He held the office of Colonial Secretary of New South Wales.¹

     Edward William MacLeay Grigg, 1st Baron Altrincham was born on 8 September 1879.¹ He was the son of Henry Bidewell Grigg and Elizabeth Deas-Thomson.¹ He married Hon. Joan Alice Katherine Dickson-Poynder, daughter of John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, 1st and last Baron Islington and Anne Beauclerk Dundas, on 31 January 1923.¹ He died on 1 December 1955 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1902 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army Special Reserves.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1919.¹ He held the office of Military Secretary to HRH The Prince of Wales between 1919 and 1921, while on tours of Canada, Australia and New Zealand.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1920.¹ He held the office of Private Secretary to the Prime Minister between 1921 and 1922.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
