He gained the rank of Captain in the 17th Dragoons.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Roden’s Regiment of Fencible Cavalry.1 He was created 1st Baronet Pigott, of Knapton, co. Laois [U.K.] on 3 October 1808.1 They also had other issue.1
