Sir Harry Michael Rex Newton, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Michael.2 He was educated at Eastbourne College, Eastbourne, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa and the Middle East, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of officer in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Newton, of The Wood, Sydenham Hill, Lewisham, Kent and Kottingham House, Burton-on-Trent, co. Stafford [U.K., 1900] on 22 June 1951.2 He was a director of Thomas Parsons & Sons.1 He lived in 2003 at Cliff House, Old Lyme Road, Charmouth, Dorset, England.1
