He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1933 in the 2nd Battalion, 12th Frontier Force Regiment, Indian Army.1 He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa and Burma, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He retired from the military in 1948, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1 He was with the Special Constabulary between 1954 and 1956 at Nicosia, Cyprus.1

Charles Frederick Bond was born on 26 May 1837 at Cawnpore, India.1 He was the son of Henry M. Bond and Emilia Lavinia Lund.1 He married Mary Alice Blanche White, daughter of Robert W. White and Frances Jacobs, on 28 April 1868 at Holy trinity Church, West Cowes, Isle of Wight, England.1 He died on 1 December 1887 at age 50 at Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight, England.1

George Montgomery Bond1 
George Montgomery Bond was born on 11 June 1880.1,2 He was the son of Charles Frederick Bond and Mary Alice Blanche White.1 He married Kathleen Emberson Gallaher, daughter of Thomas Gallaher and Robina Mitchell Bell, on 27 December 1921 at The Parish Church, Titchfield, Hampshire, England.1 He died on 19 August 1962 at age 82.1,2
He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.2 He fought in the First World War, in France, Salonika and Macedonia.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.2 He lived at Great Down, Seale, Surrey, England.2

Roland Dening and Clare de Burgh Garratt, on 3 March 1945 at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton Road, London, England.1 She died on 16 July 2003 at age 80 at Great Barn, Lavant, Sussex, England.1
She was with the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.1 From 3 March 1945, her married name became Dening.1
