     Major Rodney George Watson was born in 1904 at Hong Kong.1 He was the son of Captain John Campbell Watson and Violet Mildred Davis.1 He married Robina Alice Bond, daughter of Major Reginald Edwin Bond and Kathleen Emberson Gallaher, in September 1939.1 He died on 27 May 1940 at France, killed in action.1 He was buried at Le Paradis War Cemetery, Lestrem, France.1
     He was commissioned in 1924.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Royal Scots.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
