     Sir Francis Graham Moon, 1st Bt. was born on 28 October 1796.1 He was the son of Christopher Moon.2 He married Anne Chancellor, daughter of John Chancellor, on 28 October 1818.1 He died on 13 October 1871 at age 74.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of the City of London in 1843.1 He held the office of Alderman of London in 1844.2 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1854 and 1855.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Moon, of Portman Square, London [U.K.] on 4 May 1855.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.2
