     Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. was born on 13 September 1776.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay.² He married Ann Robertson, daughter of Captain George Robertson and Ann Lewis, on 19 June 1808.¹ He died on 4 April 1851 at age 74.¹
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.)¹ He was a practising advocate in 1799, as which he acted as defence counsel for the ‘Resurrectionists’ Burke and Hare.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 9 August 1827.¹ He was styled as Lord Moncreiff [Scottish Law Lord] in 1829.¹ He held the office of Lord of Session between 1829 and 1851.¹

     Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff was the daughter of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay.² She married Sir John Stoddart, son of John Stoddart, in 1803.^1,3 She died in February 1846.¹
     From 1803, her married name became Stoddart.

     Sir John Stoddart was born on 6 February 1773 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.² He was the son of John Stoddart.² He married Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff, daughter of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay, in 1803.^1,2 He died on 16 February 1856 at age 83 at 13 Brompton Square, London, England.²
     He held the office of Chief Justice and Judge of the Admiralty Court, Malta.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He was lead writer for The Times between 1812 and 1816.² He was appointed Knight on 27 July 1826.²

     Joseph St. Barbe Sladen was born on 19 December 1811.¹ He married Elizabeth Sladen Banks, daughter of Lawrence Banks, on 18 June 1839.¹

     Ann Robertson was born circa 1780.² She was the daughter of Captain George Robertson and Ann Lewis.^3,2 She married Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt., son of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay, on 19 June 1808.¹ She died on 28 May 1843.¹
     From 19 June 1808, her married name became Wellwood-Moncreiff.

     Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff of Tulliebole, 10th Bt. was born on 12 May 1809.¹ He was the son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson.² He married, firstly, Alexina Mary Bell, daughter of George Bell, on 8 March 1838.¹ He married, secondly, Lucretia Murray, daughter of Andrew Murray, on 19 August 1875.¹ He died on 3 November 1883 at age 74, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He was Minister in 1836 at Baldernock, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹ He was Minister between 1837 and 1843 at East Kilbride, Scotland^G.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 4 April 1851.¹ He was Minister between 1852 and 1883 at St. Cuthbert’s, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was Moderator of the Free Church General Assembly in 1861.¹

     George Bell lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     Alexina Mary Bell was the daughter of George Bell.² She married Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff of Tulliebole, 10th Bt., son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson, on 8 March 1838.¹ She died on 12 April 1874.¹
     From 8 March 1838, her married name became Wellwood-Moncreiff.

     George Knight was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹

     William Wellwood-Moncreiff was born on 28 September 1813.¹ He was the son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson.² He married Susan Ballantine Dykes, daughter of Joseph Dykes Ballantine Dykes, on 26 April 1860.¹ He died on 31 August 1895 at age 81, without issue.¹
