Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt.1 
He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.)1 He was a practising advocate in 1799, as which he acted as defence counsel for the ‘Resurrectionists’ Burke and Hare.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 9 August 1827.1 He was styled as Lord Moncreiff [Scottish Law Lord] in 1829.1 He held the office of Lord of Session between 1829 and 1851.1

Sir John Stoddart1 
He held the office of Chief Justice and Judge of the Admiralty Court, Malta.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was lead writer for The Times between 1812 and 1816.2 He was appointed Knight on 27 July 1826.2
