     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He lived in 2003 at 149 Hurlingham Road, London, England^G.¹

     Hilda Meryl Knight was the daughter of George Knight.¹ She married, firstly, F/O Gerald Stark-Toller before 1944.¹ She married, secondly, Nigel Monckton Miskin, son of Major Charles Leonard Miskin and Anne Dorothy Monckton, on 28 October 1950.¹ She died on 26 July 1962.¹
     From before 1944, her married name became Stark-Toller. From 28 October 1950, her married name became Miskin.

     Charles James Monckton Miskin was born on 29 November 1952.¹ He is the son of Nigel Monckton Miskin and Hilda Meryl Knight.² He married Karen Elizabeth Booth, daughter of Ronald Booth, in 1982.¹ He and Karen Elizabeth Booth were divorced in 1995.¹

     Karen Elizabeth Booth is the daughter of Ronald Booth.² She married Charles James Monckton Miskin, son of Nigel Monckton Miskin and Hilda Meryl Knight, in 1982.¹ She and Charles James Monckton Miskin were divorced in 1995.¹
