     Cordelia Ainslie was the daughter of George Ainslie.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir George Whitmore, son of George Whitmore and Mary Wall, on 16 January 1798.¹ She died on 19 December 1857.¹
     From 16 January 1798, her married name became Whitmore.

     Major George St. Vincent Whitmore was born on 28 November 1798.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Whitmore and Cordelia Ainslie.² He married Isabella Maxwell Stoddart, daughter of Sir John Stoddart and Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff, on 22 February 1827.¹ He died on 12 November 1851 at age 52.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Andrew Murray lived at Murrayshall, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeenshire.¹

     Isabella Maxwell Stoddart was the daughter of Sir John Stoddart and Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff.² She married Major George St. Vincent Whitmore, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Whitmore and Cordelia Ainslie, on 22 February 1827.¹ She died on 18 April 1885.¹
     From 22 February 1827, her married name became Whitmore.

     Sir George Stoddart Whitmore was born on 30 May 1829.¹ He was the son of Major George St. Vincent Whitmore and Isabella Maxwell Stoddart.² He married Isabella Smith, daughter of William Smith, on 11 March 1865.¹ He died on 16 March 1903 at age 73, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He fought in the Kaffir Wars in 1847.¹ He was commissioned in 1847 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Cape Mounted Rifles.¹ He fought in the Kaffir Wars between 1851 and 1853.¹ He fought in the Crimean War between 1855 and 1856.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [New Zealand] between 1863 and 1903.¹ He fought in the Maori Wars between 1866 and 1869.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 62nd Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 1868 in the New Zealand Militia.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1869.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1874.¹ He held the office of Colonial Secretary and Defence Minister [New Zealand] between 1877 and 1879.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1882.¹

     William Smith lived at Roxeth, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹

     Isabella Smith is the daughter of William Smith.² She married Sir George Stoddart Whitmore, son of Major George St. Vincent Whitmore and Isabella Maxwell Stoddart, on 11 March 1865.¹
     From 11 March 1865, her married name became Whitmore.

     Montagu Stopford Whitmore was born on 11 January 1831.¹ He was the son of Major George St. Vincent Whitmore and Isabella Maxwell Stoddart.² He died on 17 October 1880 at age 49, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Henry Ainslie Whitmore was born on 20 June 1837.¹ He was the son of Major George St. Vincent Whitmore and Isabella Maxwell Stoddart.² He died on 14 September 1857 at age 20, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 47th Regiment.¹

     Charles William Whitmore was born on 13 August 1838.¹ He was the son of Major George St. Vincent Whitmore and Isabella Maxwell Stoddart.² He died on 21 April 1839.¹
