Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt.1

     Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born circa 1628.1 He was the son of Hugh Moncreiff and Isabel Hay.2 He married Nicola Moncreiff, daughter of Sir John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff and Jean Pitcairn, in 1680.1 He died on 27 April 1714.1
     He was a physician.1 He wrote the book The Poor Man’s Physician.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] in 1698.1 He lived at Tippermallch, Scotland.1

     Sir John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff was baptised on 16 December 1613.2 He was the son of John Moncreiffe and Margaret Arnot.2 He married Jean Pitcairn.2 He died before 9 March 1678.2

     Sir Hugh Moncreiff of that Ilk, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Nicola Moncreiff.2 He died in 1744, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 27 April 1714.1 On his death, his baronetcy became dormant for 6 years.1
