     Lt.-Col. James MacLeod, 12th of Raasay was born in 1761.1 He was the son of John MacLeod, 11th of Raasay and Jane Macqueen.2 He married Flora Ann Maclean, daughter of Lt.-Col. Lachlan Maclean, 6th of Muck and Hannah Barbara Cottnam.1 He died in 1823.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Isle of Skye Regiment of Volunteers.1

John MacLeod, 13th of Raasay1

     John MacLeod, 13th of Raasay was the son of Lt.-Col. James MacLeod, 12th of Raasay and Flora Ann Maclean.2 He married Mary MacLeod, daughter of Sir Donald MacLeod.1 He died on 6 June 1860 at ‘Malang’, Tatiara, South Australia, Australia.1
     He gained the rank of Officer in the 78th Highlanders.1 He sold Raasay estate to George Rainey in 1843.1 He emigrated to Australia arriving on 1846.1
