Brig.-Gen. Charles Alexander Hugh Maclean of Pennycross was the son of Archibald John Maclean of Pennycross.2 He married Mabel Julia Maclaine, daughter of Murdoch Gillean Maclaine, 23rd of Lochbuie and Katherine Marian Schwabe, on 1 July 1897.1 He died on 19 September 1948.
