     William Thomas Young Burnett was born on 13 December 1824 at Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ He married Anna Eliza Mary Ann Slade, daughter of Ernest Augustus Slade and Mary Ann Dicken, in 1857 at Geelong, Victoria, Australia.¹ He died on 20 September 1879 at age 54 at Geelong, Victoria, Australia.¹
     He was a grazier.¹

     Hugh Maclean, 14th of Coll was the son of Donald Maclean, 11th of Coll and Marion MacLeod.² He married Janet Macleod, daughter of Donald MacLeod, 3rd of Talisker and Christina Macleod.³ He died on 4 April 1786 at Coll, Argyllshire, Scotland.²

     Marion Maclean is the daughter of Hugh Maclean, 14th of Coll and Janet Macleod.² She married Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale, son of Colin Macdonald, 2nd of Boisdale and Margaret Campbell, on 11 June 1783 at South Uist, Scotland.³
     From 11 June 1783, her married name became Macdonald.

     Hugh Macdonald, 4th of Boisdale was born on 2 February 1785 at South Uist, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean.² He married, secondly, Mary Hender, daughter of Joseph Hender and Philadelphia Lander, on 4 July 1843 at Gretna, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.³ He died on 22 December 1875 at age 90 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.¹
     In 1839 Boisdale was sold by his trustees to Colonel Gordon of Cluny.¹ Hugh Macdonald IV of Boidale was the last Laird of Boisdale. He inherited the lands of Benbecula and South Uist, Scotland from his father upon his death in 1818. At this time, Hugh was 23. By the time he became Laird, his father had accumulated massive debts and the land had to be sold off bit by bit. By 1830, Hugh was living in Plymouth and had 3 children by Mary Hender. He then moved to Swansea
Wales and had another 4 children there. Then they all moved to Liverpool in 1844 where 4 more children were born. He married Mary Hender in 1843 in a secret ceremony at Gretna Green, Scotland. They had 7 children by then! By 1856, the money was gone and he went to debtors prison for a year or so. They never regained their wealth but some of the elder children became successful or married well. Unfortunately, of the 11 children born to him, only 3 lived beyond 35. The 3 that lived and had children were Charles, Mary and Georgina.³

     Donald Norman Macdonald was born in February 1847 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.^2,3,4,5 He was the son of Hugh Macdonald, 4th of Boisdale and Mary Hender.⁶ He died on 10 July 1869 at age 22 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.⁵ He was also reported to have died on 10 July 1865 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.⁵ He was also reported to have died, aged 22 on 18 July 1869.¹

     Flora Louise Macdonald was born on 29 October 1835 at Fareham Place, Plymouth, Devon, England.² She was the daughter of Hugh Macdonald, 4th of Boisdale and Mary Hender.³ She married Alban Williams, son of Dr. Alban Williams, on 9 August 1854 at St. Andrew’s Church, Rodney Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.² She died on 8 November 1858 at age 23 at 54 Huskisson Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.²
     From 9 August 1854, her married name became Williams.²

     Alban Williams was born at Gibraltar.² He is the son of Dr. Alban Williams. He married Flora Louise Macdonald, daughter of Hugh Macdonald, 4th of Boisdale and Mary Hender, on 9 August 1854 at St. Andrew’s Church, Rodney Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.²

     Colin Macdonald was the son of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean.² He died at India, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Surgeon in the Indian Army.¹

     Major Donald Macdonald was the son of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean.² He died, killed in action.

     Janet Macdonald was the daughter of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean.² She died on 15 June 1818 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, unmarried.³
