     Colonel Richard Frederick Hill was born on 14 January 1804.² He was the son of Colonel John Hill and Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish.³ He married Maria Jane Bringhurst, daughter of Major John Dorset Bringhurst and Frances Maria Gore, on 3 April 1835.² He died on 9 January 1890 at age 85.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Shropshire Light Infantry.² He lived at Prees Hall, Shropshire, England^G.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)²

     Maria Jane Bringhurst was the daughter of Major John Dorset Bringhurst and Frances Maria Gore.^2,3 She married Colonel Richard Frederick Hill, son of Colonel John Hill and Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish, on 3 April 1835.¹ She died on 13 October 1880.¹
     Her married name became Hill.

     Major John Dorset Bringhurst was born circa 1775. He was the son of Reverend John Bringhurst. He married Frances Maria Gore.¹ He died on 18 June 1815 at Waterloo, Belgium, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Kings Dragoon Guards.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.¹

     Colonel John Hill was born on 10 October 1769.¹ He was the son of Sir John Hill, 3rd Bt. and Mary Chambré.² He married Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish, daughter of Philip Cornish, on 16 November 1795.¹ He died on 26 January 1814 at age 44.¹
     He lived at Hawkestone, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish was the daughter of Philip Cornish.² She married Colonel John Hill, son of Sir John Hill, 3rd Bt. and Mary Chambré, on 16 November 1795.¹ She died on 16 December 1842.¹
     Her married name became Hill.

     Sir John Hill, 3rd Bt. was born on 1 August 1740.¹ He was the son of Sir Rowland Hill, 1st Bt. and Jane Broughton.² He married Mary Chambré, daughter of John Chambré, on 27 September 1768.¹ He died on 21 May 1824 at age 83.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 28 November 1809.¹

     Mary Chambré was the daughter of John Chambré.¹ She married Sir John Hill, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Rowland Hill, 1st Bt. and Jane Broughton, on 27 September 1768.¹ She died on 8 March 1806.¹
     Her married name became Hill.

     John Chambré lived at Petton, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Rowland Hill, 2nd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke was born in 1800.¹ He was the son of Colonel John Hill and Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish.² He married Anne Clegg, daughter of Joseph Clegg, on 21 July 1831 at Irwell Bank, Lancashire, England^G.³ He died on 2 January 1875.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Shropshire between 1821 and 1832.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 21 May 1824.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for North Shropshire between 1832 and 1842.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1842] on 10 December 1842.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hill of Almaraz and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1816] on 10 December 1842.¹
