(Conservative) for North Shropshire between 1857 and 1865.1 On 7 February 1874 his name was legally changed to Rowland Clegg-Hill by Royal Licence.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1842] on 2 January 1875.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 2 January 1875.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Hill of Almaraz and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1816] on 2 January 1875.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire.1 In 1894 he was bankrupted.1
