     Sir Henry Gordon Ley, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 March 1874.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis.² He married, firstly, Rhoda Prodgers, daughter of Herbert Prodgers and Emily Sibella Phillpotts, on 6 September 1899.¹ He and Rhoda Prodgers were divorced in 1927.¹ He married, secondly, Mabel Annie Brocklehurst, daughter of Sir Philip Lancaster Brocklehurst, 1st Bt. and Annie Lee Dewhurst, on 29 September 1927.¹ He married, thirdly, Dorothea Gertrude Grey, daughter of Charles Grey, on 23 January 1939.¹ He and Mabel Annie Brocklehurst were divorced in 1938.¹ He died on 27 September 1944 at age 70.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Territorial Forces Reserves.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ley, of Epperstone Manor, Epperstone, co. Nottingham [U.K., 1905] on 17 January 1916.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cumberland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Derbyshire.¹

     Agnes Willis Ley was born on 4 June 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis.² She died on 7 March 1958 at age 86, unmarried.¹
