     Prideaux John Selby was born on 23 July 1788 at Twizell House, Belford, Northumberland, England.² He was the son of George Selby and Margaret Cook.² He married Lewis Tabitha Mitford, daughter of Bertrum Mitford and Tabitha Johnson.² He died on 27 March 1867 at age 78.²
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at The Mote, Tonbridge, Kent, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Twizell House, Belford, Northumberland, England.¹

     Jane Selby was born in 1818 at Twizell House, Belford, Northumberland, England.² She was the daughter of Prideaux John Selby and Lewis Tabitha Mitford.^3,2 She married Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt. and Harriet Lucy Crewe, on 16 April 1839.¹ She died on 16 November 1901.¹
     From 16 April 1839, her married name became Tancred.

     Sir Thomas Selby Tancred, 8th Bt. was born on 1 October 1840 at Rankapuka, Canterbury, New Zealand.^2,3 He was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt. and Jane Selby.² He married Mary Harriet Hemans, daughter of Colonel George Willoughby Hemans, on 1 May 1866.² He died on 11 April 1910 at age 69 at Hyde Park, London, England.^2,3
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Tancred, of Boroughbridge, co. York [E., 1662] on 7 October 1880.²

     Prideaux Francis Tancred was born on 2 February 1850.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt. and Jane Selby.² He died on 6 December 1911 at age 61 at New Zealand, without issue.¹ He was buried at Masterton, New Zealand.³

     Clement William Tancred was born on 16 September 1853 at Southampton, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt. and Jane Selby.² He married Alice Maude Bloxsome, daughter of Oswald Bloxsome, on 16 July 1878.¹ He died on 4 October 1888 at age 35.¹

     Oswald Bloxsome lived at The Rangers, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Alice Maude Bloxsome was born in 1857 at New South Wales, Australia.² She was the daughter of Oswald Bloxsome.³ She married Clement William Tancred, son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt. and Jane Selby, on 16 July 1878.¹ She died on 7 June 1944.¹
     From 16 July 1878, her married name became Tancred.

     Christopher Humphrey Tancred was born on 11 May 1888.¹ He was the son of Clement William Tancred and Alice Maude Bloxsome.² He married, firstly, Gladys Winifred Carrington Chandler, daughter of Walter Robert Chandler, on 27 March 1915.¹ He and Gladys Winifred Carrington Chandler were divorced in 1923.¹ He married, secondly, Agnes Mary Slater, daughter of Samuel Henry Slater, on 26 April 1927.¹ He and Agnes Mary Slater were divorced in 1938.¹ He married, thirdly, Priscilla Noel Cecilia Barclay on 1 July 1938.¹ He married, fourthly, Sadika Miligui, daughter of Radwan Khalil Miligui, on 11 March 1944.¹ He and Priscilla Noel Cecilia Barclay were divorced in 1943 at Egypt.¹ He died on 20 September 1971 at age 83.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, London, England.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1922.¹

     Gladys Winifred Carrington Chandler is the daughter of Walter Robert Chandler.² She married Christopher Humphrey Tancred, son of Clement William Tancred and Alice Maude Bloxsome, on 27 March 1915.¹ She and Christopher Humphrey Tancred were divorced in 1923.¹
     Her married name became Tancred.
