     Mary Eleanor Lauderdale Coventry was born on 25 September 1847.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Henry Amelius Coventry and Caroline Stirling Dundas.¹ She married Henry Charles Howard, 18th Earl of Suffolk, son of Charles John Howard, 17th Earl of Suffolk and Isabella Catherine Howard, on 2 December 1868.¹ She died on 31 October 1928 at age 81.¹
     Her married name became Howard. After her marriage, Mary Eleanor Lauderdale Coventry was styled as Countess of Suffolk on 14 August 1876.

     Hon. Greville Theophilus Howard was born on 22 December 1836.¹ He was the son of Charles John Howard, 17th Earl of Suffolk and Isabella Catherine Howard.¹ He married Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend, daughter of Rear-Admiral John Townshend, 4th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Elizabeth Jane Stuart, on 18 September 1873.¹ He died on 28 July 1880 at age 43.¹
     He lived at Castle Rising, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend was the daughter of Rear-Admiral John Townshend, 4th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Elizabeth Jane Stuart.¹ She married, firstly, Hon. Greville Theophilus Howard, son of Charles John Howard, 17th Earl of Suffolk and Isabella Catherine Howard, on 18 September 1873.² She married, secondly, General Rt. Hon. Sir Redvers Henry Buller, V.C., son of James Wentworth Buller and Charlotte Juliana Jane Howard, on 10 August 1882.² She died on 20 February 1926.²
     From 18 September 1873, her married name became Howard. From 10 August 1882, her married name became Buller.

     General Rt. Hon. Sir Redvers Henry Buller, V.C. was born in 1839 at Downes, Crediton, Devon, England^G.² He was the son of James Wentworth Buller and Charlotte Juliana Jane Howard.² He married Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend, daughter of Rear-Admiral John Townshend, 4th Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Elizabeth Jane Stuart, on 10 August 1882.³ He died on 2 June 1908 at Crediton, Devon, England^G.⁴
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was commissioned in 1858, in the service of the Army.² He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.⁵ He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 17 June 1879, for his actions on 28 March 1879. “During the retreat from Hlobane, he saved the lives of two officers (Captain D’Arcy and Lieutenant Everitt) and a trooper of the Frontier Light Horse when their horses had been shot or assegaied under them. Rallying his men, he rode time and time again at the Zulus, under heavy attack fron gun and spear.”⁵ He fought in the Boer War.⁵ He was Commander-in-chief of the British Forces in the Boer War, where he raised the siege of Ladysmith between 1899 and 1900.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)²

     Lieutenant Henry Grenville Howard was born on 25 June 1877.¹ He was the son of Hon. Greville Theophilus Howard and Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend.¹ He died on 20 July 1899 at age 22, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹

     Sir Charles Alfred Howard was born on 29 July 1878.¹ He was the son of Hon. Greville Theophilus Howard and Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend.¹ He married Miriam Eleanore Dansey, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward Mashiter Dansey and Hon. Eleanor Gifford, on 21 December 1908.¹ He died on 5 January 1958 at age 79.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.¹ He held the office of Deputy Constable of Dover Castle between 1932 and 1935.¹ He held the office of Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Commons between 1935 and 1956.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1944.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1956.¹ He lived at Castle Rising, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Miriam Eleanore Dansey was born in 1874 at Cleaver, Berkshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward Mashiter Dansey and Hon. Eleanor Gifford.^2,1 She married Sir Charles Alfred Howard, son of Hon. Greville Theophilus Howard and Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend, on 21 December 1908.² She died on 14 February 1969.¹
     Her married name became Howard.

     Diana Rivia Tobin married Hon. Maurice Patrick Guy Lubbock, son of Eric Reginald Lubbock, 4th Baron Avebury and Kina-Maria O’Kelly de Gallagh, in 1982.¹
     From 1982, her married name became Lubbock.¹

     Lt.-Col. Henry Redvers Greville Howard was born on 31 October 1911.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Alfred Howard and Miriam Eleanore Dansey.¹ He married, firstly, Patience Nicholl, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Rice Iltyd Nicholl, on 13 July 1940.¹ He and Patience Nicholl were divorced in 1946.¹ He married, secondly, Odette Mireille Clark, daughter of Henry Clark, on 2 June 1948.¹ He died on 11 February 1978 at age 66.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹

     Patience Nicholl is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Rice Iltyd Nicholl.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Henry Redvers Greville Howard, son of Sir Charles Alfred Howard and Miriam Eleanore Dansey, on 13 July 1940.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Henry Redvers Greville Howard were divorced in 1946.¹
     Her married name became Howard.
