Lt.-Col. Joseph Wall1 
He fought in the Siege of Havana in 1762.2 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Gambia in 1776.2 In 1782 a deputation of soldiers petitioned Wall for unpaid allowaces, which he considered to be an act of mutiny. He ordered the Sergeatnt Armstroong and two others to be flogged without a court martial, and all 3 subsequently died.2 On 20 January 1802 he was tried at the Old Bailey for the murder of Armstrong, and found guilty.2
