     Francis Vernon, 1st Earl of Shipbrook was born in 1715.¹ He was the son of James Vernon and Arethusa Boyle.¹ He married Alice Ibbetson.¹ He died on 15 October 1783.¹
     He was created 1st Lord Orwell in 1762. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1762 and 1768.¹ He gained the title of 1st Viscount Orwell in 1776. He gained the title of 1st Earl of Shipbrook in 1777.

     Alice Ibbetson married Francis Vernon, 1st Earl of Shipbrook, son of James Vernon and Arethusa Boyle.¹
     Her married name became Vernon.¹

     Francis Vernon was born in 1756.¹ He was the son of Francis Vernon, 1st Earl of Shipbrook and Alice Ibbetson.¹ He died in 1760.¹

     Jane Tash was born in 1723.¹ She married Christopher Tower on 25 October 1746.² She died in 1772.¹
     From 25 October 1746, her married name became Tower.²

     Christopher Theron Tower was born on 2 May 1804.^2,3 He was the son of Christopher Thomas Tower and Harriet Proctor.³ He married Lady Sophia Frances Cust, daughter of John Cust, 1st Earl Brownlow and Amelia Sophia Hume, on 10 February 1836.⁴ He died on 3 March 1884 at age 79.⁴
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)⁵ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)⁶ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)⁶ He lived at Huntsmore Park, Buckinghamshire, England^G.⁶ He lived at Delaford Park, Iver, Buckinghamshire, England^G.⁴

     Lady Sophia Frances Cust was born on 14 April 1811.³ She was the daughter of John Cust, 1st Earl Brownlow and Amelia Sophia Hume.¹ She married Christopher Theron Tower, son of Christopher Thomas Tower and Harriet Proctor, on 10 February 1836.³ She died on 21 December 1882 at age 71.³
     From 10 February 1836, her married name became Tower.

     Christopher John Hume Tower was born in 1841.¹ He was the son of Christopher Theron Tower and Lady Sophia Frances Cust.¹ He married Cecilia Tower, daughter of Reverend Robert Beauchamp Tower.¹ He died in 1923.¹
     He lived at Huntsmoor Park, Buckinghamshire, England.²
