Sarah Cruttenden was born in 1754 at Calcutta, India.2,3 She was the daughter of Edward Holden Cruttenden and Elizabeth Jedderie.1,2 She married Robert Percival Pott, son of Sir Percivall Pott and Sarah Elizabeth Cruttenden, on 22 May 1788 at Berhampore, Bengal, India.3
From 22 May 1788, her married name became Pott.3

Edward Holden Cruttenden was born in 1717.3 He was the son of Robert Cruttenden and Sarah Cliff.3 He married Elizabeth Jedderie on 7 April 1746 at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Calcutta, IndiaG.2 He died on 19 June 1771.2,3
He held the office of Member of the Council of Calcutta.2 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Fort William, Bengal.2
