     He gained the rank of Captain in the Warwickshire Yeomanry.¹

     Hon. Joan Adderley was the daughter of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Alan John Hunter, son of John Turner Hunter, on 15 January 1913.¹ She died, leaving issue.¹
     From 15 January 1913, her married name became Hunter.

     Hon. Lettice Mary Adderley is the daughter of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville.² She married Charles Phillimore Lewton Firth, son of Bernard Alexander Firth, on 10 January 1918.¹
     From 10 January 1918, her married name became Firth.

     Bernard Alexander Firth lived at Coates Manor, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He lived at Norton Hall, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Charles Phillimore Lewton Firth was the son of Bernard Alexander Firth.² He married Hon. Lettice Mary Adderley, daughter of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville, on 10 January 1918.¹ He died on 25 August 1955.¹
     He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Worcestershire Regiment.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Hilda Gwendoline Harris was the daughter of John Thomson Harris.¹ She married David Lauchlan Urquhart, Baron Tayside, son of David Urquhart and Louisa Carr Finlay, on 26 December 1939.^1,2 She died on 2 October 2007.¹
     She graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)² From 26 December 1939, her married name became Urquhart.¹

     Elizabeth Birkbeck was born circa 1888 at London, England.² She was the daughter of William John Birkbeck and Rose Katherine Gurney.^3,2 She married Hubert Bowyer Arden Adderley, 6th Baron Norton, son of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville, on 9 January 1912.¹ She died on 5 May 1952.¹
     From 9 January 1912, her married name became Arden. After her marriage, Elizabeth Birkbeck was styled as Baroness Norton on 1 January 1945.

     John Arden Adderley, 7th Baron Norton was born on 24 November 1915.¹ He was the son of Hubert Bowyer Arden Adderley, 6th Baron Norton and Elizabeth Birkbeck.² He married Betty Margaret Hannah, daughter of James McKee Hannah and Margaret Goldstone, on 23 July 1946.¹ He died on 24 September 1993 at age 77.^1,3
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Norton, of Norton-on-the-Moors, co. Stafford [U.K., 1878] on 17 February 1961.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1964.¹
