Field Marshal John Standish Surtees Prendergast Vereker, 6th Viscount Gort, V.C. was born on 10 July 1886.3 He was the son of John Gage Prendergast Vereker, 5th Viscount Gort and Eleanor Surtees.4 He married Corinna Katherine Vereker, daughter of George Medlicott Vereker and Frances Gore Manders, on 23 February 1911.4 He and Corinna Katherine Vereker were divorced in 1925.4 He died on 31 March 1946 at age 59.1
He succeeded as the 6th Baron Kiltarton of Gort, co. Galway [I., 1810] on 15 August 1902.3 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Gort, co.
