     Sir L’Estrange Mordaunt, 1st Bt. was born in 1572.2 He was the son of Henry Mordaunt and Anne Poley.1,3 He married, firstly, Margaret de Charles, daughter of Peter de Charles.2 He married, secondly, Frances Cheeke, daughter of Robert Cheeke.2 He died before 1 October 1627.2
     He was a military commander during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I in the Low Countries and Ireland.2 He was created 1st Baronet Mordaunt [England] on 29 June 1611.2 He lived at Little Massingham, Norfolk, England.2

     Her married name became Maunsell. Her married name became Darrell.1 From 22 March 1557, her married name became Fortescue.1
