Sir Robert Mordaunt, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir L’Estrange Mordaunt, 1st Bt. and Margaret de Charles.2 He married Amy Sotherton, daughter of Sir Austin Sotherton, in 1614.1 He died on 23 August 1638.1
He was appointed Knight in 1618.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mordaunt [E., 1611] on 1 October 1627.1

Amy Sotherton was the daughter of Sir Austin Sotherton.2 She married, firstly, Sir Robert Mordaunt, 2nd Bt., son of Sir L’Estrange Mordaunt, 1st Bt. and Margaret de Charles, in 1614.1 She married, secondly, Basset Cole on 18 June 1639.1 She died circa 23 March 1668.1 She was buried on 26 March 1668.1
