John Allen, 4th Viscount Allen1 
He gained the rank of Captain in the a troop of horse.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Wicklow between 1742 and 1745.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Allen of Stillorgan, co. Dublin [I., 1717] on 25 May 1745.2 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Allen, co. Kildare [I., 1717] on 25 May 1745.2 After taking an active part against the Government, he retired from public life.2 He lived at Punchestown, County Kildare, IrelandG.2

Joshua Allen, 5th Viscount Allen1 
He succeeded as the 5th Baron Allen of Stillorgan, co. Dublin [I., 1717] on 10 November 1753.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Allen, co. Kildare [I., 1717] on 10 November 1753.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1758 in the 37th Regiment, under Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick.1 He fought in the Battle of Minden in 1759.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Eye between 1762 and 1770.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1763 in the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards.1 In 1770 he obtained a pension of £700 a year.1
