     Ross Kinloch McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks was born on 26 October 1882.1 He was the son of Denis Charles McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks and Gertrude Laura Miller.2 He married Helen Grace Courage, daughter of Edward Courage and Helen Rosa Marshall, on 30 June 1908 at Billericay, Essex, EnglandG.1 He died in 1950.1
     He was educated in 1894 at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, Public School.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1902 and 1919 in the 5th Lancers and 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards.1 He was educated in 1907 at Woolwich, EnglandG, Royal Military Academy.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916. He held the office of Member of the Senate [Ireland] between 1923 and 1943.1 He lived in 1930 at The Reeks, Beaufort, County Kerry, IrelandG.1

     Sir Robert Townsend-Farquhar, 1st Bt. was born on 14 October 1776 at Westminster, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir Walter Farquhar, 1st Bt. and Anne Stevenson.1 He married Maria Frances Geslip de Lautour, daughter of Joseph François Louis de Lautour, on 10 January 1809.1 He died on 16 March 1830 at age 53.1
     He was given the name of Robert Farquhar at birth.1 He was with the Diplomatic Service.3 He was created 1st Baronet Farquhar [U.K.] on 21 August 1821.1 He held the office of Governor of Penang.3 He held the office of Governor of Prince Edward Island.3 He held the office of Governor of Mauritius.3 On 19 July 1824 his name was legally changed to Robert Townsend-Farquhar by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hythe.3 He was Governor of the Honourable East India Company Service.3
