     John Patrick McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks was born on 20 August 1909.2 He was the son of Ross Kinloch McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks and Helen Grace Courage.1 He married Elizabeth Margaret Otto, daughter of Major John Ellison Otto, in 1945.3 He died on 21 September 1959 at age 50.1,4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded twice, and was mentioned in despatches.2 He was director of Clayton Brothers between 1952 and 1959 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England.2
