     He gained the rank of Flight-Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Hon. Peter Randolph Louis Beatty was born on 2 April 1910.¹ He was the son of Admiral David Beatty, 1st Earl Beatty and Ethel Field.¹ He died on 26 October 1949 at age 39, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Naval Reserve.¹
